My physical storm chasing journey began later in life than most. My 20's & 30's were spent building a couple of businesses, so naturally time was very limited. Once I got them established I finally decided to take the plunge into actual chasing. In 2014 I decided to take a storm chasing tour based out of Oklahoma and the rest as they say is history. I have now seen almost 100 tornadoes since then. I am an amateur chaser, mostly doing it during the month of May with trips down to tornado alley. Being a resident of Canada and living in Eastern Ontario this is quite the drive to get down there. I often refer to it as the annual pilgrimage.
I have always followed weather since a young age, sitting in my parents garage with the door open watching storms as they roll by. Like most chasers I've watched almost every documentary, TV series, Youtube videos on severe weather. It's an addiction honestly.
I was fortunate in my early years to learn from some of the best (Mike Scantlin, Ben Holcomb, Connor McCrorey, Reed Timmer) out there. I owe a lot to Mike Scantlin, somehow I convinced him to let me chase with him in 2015 for 3 weeks, a trip I will never forget. We became great friends and to this day I ask him what he was thinking letting this random Canuck tag along.
I do this for me, which is a selfish statement and I am aware. I don't do this for clicks and likes, but I do enjoy sharing what I am privileged to have seen over the years. I find social media toxic these days and avoid most of it. I hope you enjoy what you see on my site and YouTube channel.
Always love talking weather, if you have any questions or comments feel free to reach out on my contact page or any of socials.
